The Great Wall at Simatai
A couple of hours trekking is rewarded with this stunning view. The wall snakes its way along the ridges into the hazy distance.
Other sections of the wall have been rebuilt as big tourist attractions. Here the original Ming dynasty wall still stands; now crumbling and overgrown.
